Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
1 Peter 4:10
Part of God’s overflowing grace in our lives means that we are given unique gifts which, when offered to the community, allow both us and others to experience the abundant life that God intended for all of creation. When you act, your talents will flourish and become a joyous expression of the soul.

God-given gifts and graces.
Abundant life is meant to be shared around a table.
Food nourishes our souls as well as our bodies and it was in the breaking of bread together that the disciples recognized Christ in their midst. Here at FUMC Pasadena, food is an important way for us to bring people together along our journey of following Jesus with our whole life. If food and feeding people is a passion of yours, there are many ways to use your gifts, including working with our food pantry Society of St. Stephen, serving homebound communion, making soup for our shut ins and much more.

Our vision as a church…
…is to be a place where children and their families can go deeper in their relationship with God, connect and build relationships and grow into the people God created them to be.
If you are interested in teaching or education, there are many ways you can use your gifts to bless the community- by teaching Sunday school (for adults or children/youth), mentoring youth at our Wednesday night youth dinners, connecting with kids in local schools, working with children at our summer camps, and much more.
Scripture tells us to not forget to show hospitality to strangers for in doing so we may show kindness to angels without knowing it. If you have a gift of making people feel welcome, we invite you to use your gifts in our bus ministry that picks up people for church, as an usher, or as an interpreter/greeter for our Spanish-speaking neighbors.
Prayer is one of the most vital ways to connect to God and to others. If you have a passion for praying, we have a number of ways for you to express your gifts, in praying for our community’s needs, sewing prayer quilts, or praying with women at the Bridge.
The psalms teach us that we are called to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. If you have a gift of music that you would like to share with the community please consider joining our chancel choir, praise band, hand bells or working with children’s choir.
Hands on Ministries
There is a special gift in using your hands to create, build and sustain space that both serves the community and ensures people experience abundant life in their homes. If you enjoy working with your hands we have many ways for you to act, both inside the church, and in the Pasadena community and beyond.
Jesus called his disciples to be his witnesses to the ends of the earth. If you have a passion for experiencing God in other cultures and places, there are many ways that you can use your gifts on one of our multiple learn and serve trips around the US and also in Ecuador.I WANT TO SERVE
