Rev. Mireya Martinez

Pastor, Outreach and Discipleship

Who I Am

Rev. Mireya Martinez is an Ordained Elder in the Texas Annual Conference, and is so grateful to have joined the FUMC Pasadena Family!

Recently, her personal devotion time has centered around this question:  If we aren’t loving others, are we actually loving God?  She is grateful for the gift of Jesus Christ and salvation offered up once and for all.  She believes God to be a radically inclusive God and believes we should reflect that characteristic of God.

Pastor Mireya is an only child, but has a rather large extended family. She loves spending time in the Bible, is passionate about continuing her parents’ legacies, is addicted to nail polish, holds peacocks in very high esteem, is reminded of her philosophy of ministry every time she sees starfish, enjoys walks on the beach, reading good books, catching up with family and friends, and collecting new friends.

More than anything, Pastor Mireya is an agent of Hope, calling herself a Hope Junkie.  Her favorite Bible verse and prayer for everyone is Romans 15:13, which states:  “May the God of hope, fill you with joy and peace in believing, so you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Come by and visit Pastor Mireya anytime!  She is Office 106, extension 3004.
